Billy Bodin has tonight lest Bristol Rovers and signed for Championship side Preston North End.

The winger only had 6 months left on his contract and although Rovers had offered him a new improved deal it was always going to be a fight to keep hold of the 25 year old.

The fee is undisclosed but Vital Gas understand its around £450,000. Bodin who has scored 11 goals in 24 appearances for Rovers this season has signed a two and half year deal with the Championship side.

Bodin has been given the number 39 shirt by Preston and is expected to start for Preston on Saturday in their F.A Cup clash against Wycombe. Cardiff City were also believed to be interested in the Welsh man.
