John Ward named an unchanged side for last nights defeat at home to Rotherham, but Ward was forced into an early change.

After just 15 minutes Ward was forced to replace German Fabian Broghammer due to injury, Eliot Richard took his place. The first half saw either team really creating any clear cut chances, but Rovers were a match for the promotion hopefuls. Rovers were dealt another injury blow at halftime when striker Ryan Brunt had to be replaced, Ward brought on David Clarkson.

The second half saw Rotherham hit Rovers with two quick goals, first ex City man Kayode Odejayi slotted home from 10 yards following in a Steve Mildenhall save from Alex Revell. Lee Frecklington then added a second volleying home from12 yards out. Rovers piled on the pressure to try and pull a goal back and with 10 minutes remaining Joe Anyinsah fired home from outside the box to make it 2-1.

Next up for Rovers is an away trip to Morecambe on Saturday. Rovers stayed in 18th after last nights defeat.
