Mark Mcghee has snapped up free agent Derek Riordan on a short term contract.

Riordan has been a free agent after being released from Scottish Premier side St Johnstone at the end of last season. He has played most of his in Scotland for Celtic, Hibs and Cowdenbeath. The 27 year old had a short spell at Chinese Super League club Shaanxi Chan-Ba, but his two year contract was mutually terminated after just four months.

Riordan has also represented Scotland 4 times at Under 21’s level and three times for the full Scotland team and will be part of the squad that travels to Exeter City on Saturday.
