Gill Out For Six Weeks


Bristol Rovers midfielder and Captain Matt Gill has been ruled out for around six weeks due to injury.

Gill will need surgery on his knee which has been causing him problems and forced him to miss Saturdays 3-1 home win over Northampton. It looks like around six weeks at the moment, but it could end up being as long as twelve weeks depending on what the find.

The 32 year old former Norwich City midfielder has made 11 appearances so far for Rovers this season. Gill signed for Rovers in the summer of 2010 and has made 46 starts to date and 1 sub appearance. Manager Mark McGhee will look to bring in a replacement for Gill, but has admitted his hands are tied a little due to finance’s.
