Bristol Rovers were dealt further bad news today that defender Ryan Green will be out for up to three months with a broken jaw.

Green suffered the injury after an incident in London in which Green got assaulted. The news will be a big blow to Rovers who already have Byron Anthony, Danny Coles, Sean Rigg all out injured and Richard Walker and Steve Elliott are suspended. Joe Jacobson will also serve a one match suspension after picking up his fifth yellow card season on Saturday, although he will be available for tomorrows F.A cup clash against Leyton Orient.

‘With the loan window just closed, it leaves us a bit short,’ Trollope admitted to the Evening Post

‘But we have always shown a good spirit and resilience when situations are tough, and that is certainly going to be called on in the next few weeks.

‘We had players in the stand at the weekend who were disappointed not to be involved, but they are now going to be thrust into it along with the people who were on the bench.’
