Bristol Rovers young striker Matt Groves has joined British Gas Southern Premier League side Tiverton Town.

Groves played in a friendly last week against Yeovil Town whilst on trial. The length of the deal is not yet known, but Martyn Rogers is delighted that Bristol Rovers striker Matt Groves has agreed to join the Yellows on loan.

‘We’re really happy that Matt has decided to join us,’ Rogers said. ‘He’s a good young player and I think it will be mutually beneficial having him at the club.

‘Negotiations are ongoing so we’re still not sure if we’ve got him for three, six or nine months.
‘But he trained with us on Saturday and he’ll be at training tonight and Wednesday, so he’ll be ready for the game on Saturday.’
