Bristol Rovers are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Ellis Harrison in the two one victory over Rotherham United at the weekend at the Memorial Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Harrison was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Another League One representative, Harrison delivered a lively attacking display to help Rovers to a 2-1 win against Rotherham United. Neither side went into the game in top form, but the Welshman showed persistence to poke home an equaliser, before teeing up Liam Sercombe to complete the turnaround and earn maximum points.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Harrison for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Mark Oxley (Southend United), Ben Davies (Preston North End), Sean Morrison (Cardiff City), Mark Little (Bolton Wanderers), Sergi Canos (Brentford), George Thorne (Derby County), Callum Connolly (Ipswich Town), Mo Barrow (Reading), Lee Gregory (Millwall), Gary Hooper (Sheffield Wednesday), Ellis Harrison (Bristol Rovers).

Manager – Lee Johnson (Bristol City).
