Reports are suggesting that Rickie Lambert is attracting interest from a number of Championship clubs.
Lambert finished top scorer for Rovers this season with 19 goals and Director Of Football Lennie Lawrence is currently trying to tie the former Rochdale player to a new contract.
Lambert has but in some impressive displays this season and his performances have not gone unnoticed. It is reported a number of Championship clubs are ready to make a summer move for the 26 year old striker.
Lennie Lawrence admitted that Lambert is their number one priority, Lawrence said to the Evening Post: ‘We do have a few players that are out of contract next summer.
‘We are just concentrating on getting Rickie Lambert sorted out first.
‘We will be attempting to get that done in the next two or three weeks.
‘We are trying to extend for two years on top of his current deal – anything longer is not practical and anything shorter is a waste of time.’

Would have to be a big offer i would say, as we paid £250,000 for him about 18 months ago. £600,000+ i would say.
Everyone has their price but would be a major step back if he did go.
If we’re talking decent money then let him go. He’s a half decent player, but not that good. We could easily get 1 or 2 new strikers in for free that are better than him.
A class class player
Always been a class act in the lower divisions, not really sure he can step up another level with so much impact though.
Dont know until you try I suppose.
