Darrell Clarke made one change to the side bringing in Tom Parkes for Daniel Leadbitter.

Rovers did force a couple of saves form the Carlisle keeper but went behind on 11 minutes when Jack Stacey fired home from 20 yards out. Clarke made two changes on 21 minutes bringing on Jermaine Easter and Liam Lawrence for Ollie Clarke and Montano and the change seem to work when Billy Bodin got Rovers back level on 27 minutes making it three goals in his last two games.

The second half saw Carlisle take the lead again just four minutes after the start, but once again Rovers drew level on 57 minutes when Matty Taylor turn and fired his shot home. Jermaine Easter was unlucky not to put Rovers in front when he saw his shot rebound back of the post.

It looked as if Rovers were going to take a point but with five minutes to go Jason Kennedy lifted the ball home. Rovers dropped to fifth in League Two after the defeat. Next up is a home clash against Crawley on Saturday.
