Bristol Rovers Director of football Lennie Lawerence is facing a battle to keep hold of centre back Steve Elliott.
Elliott’s contract runs out at the end of the season and Rovers fans have been hoping the big centre back signs a new contract. Anthony and Elliott have formed a solid partnership a the heart of Rovers defence.
But Lawerence has revealed that it might not be that easy keeping Elliott at the club.
Lawrence said: ‘One of the rules of football management is that you keep hold of your best players.
‘But with Steve Elliott it is proving a little harder because he has had a very good season and has other suitors.’
