Torquay United captain Lee Mansell has today agreed to sign for Bristol Rovers.

The 31 year old midfielder has been with Torquay for eight years and holds the record for the most appearances making over 350 appearances for Torquay. The Gulls were relegated along with Rovers last season and Torquay were keen to keep their captain, but Mansell has decided to take up a new challenge and sign for Rovers.

Mansell who plays in centre midfield and can also play right back has also played for Luton Town, Nuneaton and Oxford United.

Mansell is Rovers fourth summer signing following Taylor, Gosling and Jamie White.
