Middlesbrough Fail In Carayol Bid

Championship side Middlesbrough have failed in a bid to sign Winger Mustapha Carayol from Bristol Rovers.

Carayol has been attracting interest from several clubs above League Two. Derby County had a failed bid last week and Sheffield Wednesday are also keen. The winger has been with Rovers since signing from Lincoln City last summer for a small fee.

Lincoln City are due a 20% sell on from any fee Rovers get from the 22 year old. It seems Rovers will have a fight on their hands to keep Carayol.
