John Ward recalled Joe Anyinsah to the starting line up for yesterday’s clash against bottom club York City.

The best chance in the first half came to Bristol Rovers, Lee Brown cut the ball back to striker Eliot Richard, but he could not keep the ball down and shot over the bar. Yorks Tom Platt had a shot well saved from goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall who pushed the fierce drive around the post.

The second half Rovers tried to break down the York City defence, but was finding it difficult to great any real chances. It was York who had the better chances in the second half. Mildenhall dived to his left to keep out a close range drive from Chris Smith after 70 minutes, and on 85 minutes Mildenhall arched his back to palm away a 25-yard drive from substitute Michael Coulson that looked destined for the top corner.

Rovers are 14th in League Two after the draw and next face Dagenham and Redbridge away on Easter Monday.
