Striker Matt Harrold has agreed a new contract with Bristol Rovers.

The 28 year old who has been out injured almost all season agreed a new one year deal, with the option of another year. Harrold was top scorer for Rovers last season with 18 goal, but after just 6 appearances he damaged his anterior cruciate ligament.

Harrold was signed by former Manager Paul Buckle in the summer of 2011 from Shrewsbury Town and went on to be Rovers first choice striker. Harrold is the second player to sign a new deal in as many days. Yesterday right back Michael Smith signed a new two year deal.
