Peterborough United striker Tom Nichols has today agreed to join Bristol Rovers.

Rovers have been chasing Nichols in recent weeks and after several knocked back bids by Peterborough the two clubs have finally agreed a fee which will remain undisclosed but is believed to be in the region of £200,000. Nichols scored 13 times for Peterborough United last season ending up the clubs top goalscorer.

The 23 year old has only spent one season with Peterborough and previously played for Exeter City at the same time as Rovers summer signing Liam Sercombe. He scored 34 times in 97 appearances during his time at Exeter City.

Having just returned from a tour of Spain with Peterborough, Nichols will travel with Rovers on the tour of Portugal.
