Cowlin Construction will end its sponsorship of Bristol Rovers at the end of the current season.

Cowlin has sponsored Rovers for the past 11 years, but will end the sponsorship this year meaning Rovers will be seeking a new sponsor for the 2009-2010 season.

Neil Sherreard, divisional managing director for Cowlin, said to TIB: ‘After 11 successful years as main sponsor of Bristol Rovers – we review our sponsorships on an annual basis – we have decided now is the time to go,’ but he added it was ‘not related to the credit crunch.’

Rovers will have to act quickly in finding a new sponsor as next seasons kit will need to be ordered very soon if it is to arrive by the summer.

No real surprise, why would a building firm not involved in the ground redevelopment be the club sponser?! Also, another good chance to sell more shirts!
