Manager John Ward made one change to the side that beat Barnet 2-1 on Friday night. In came Danny Woodards in place of Fabian Broghammer who dropped to the bench.

Rovers started off brightly and were unlucky not to take the lead, Cheltenham keeper Scott Brown had save well from John Joe O’Toole and Tom Parkes in the opening 15 minutes. Cheltenhams best chance came through ex Rovers defender Steve Elliott who saw his header cleared off the line by the impressive Micheal Smith. Cheltenham took the lead in stoppage time at the end of the first half, when Shaun Harrad drilled home from 12 yards out.

In the second half Steve Mildenhall was quick off his line to stop Jermaine McGlashan. O’Toole had two good efforts in the second half, one went just wide and the other striker was turned round the post by Scott Brown in the Cheltenham goal. It looked as if Rovers were heading to defeat, but midfielder Oliver Norburn had other ideas. The 19 picked up the ball and unleashed a 35 yard drive into the right hand corner to earn Rovers a deserved point. The goal sent the travelling Gasheads wild and there was also a bit of crowd surfing from Tom Hitchock!

Rovers stay in 19th in League Two after the draw three points above the relegation zone. Next up is a trip to 13th placed Oxford United on Saturday.
