O’Toole Leaves Rovers

Midfielder John Joe O’Toole has today left Bristol Rovers after activating a release cause in his contract.

The 25 year old was Rovers top scorer last season but came under fire from supporters for some of his performances. Since day one he made it clear that he wanted to play at a higher level, so it was inevitable he would leave when Rovers dropped out of the football league.

Its not yet know where O’Toole will be playing his football next season but just recently Southend Manager Phil Brown admitted he was still interested in signing O’Toole after failing to do so last summer.
