O’Toole Signs For Northampton

Former Bristol Rovers midfielder has today agreed to join League Two side Northampton Town.

O’Toole will sign a three year deal with Northampton and will officially sign for them tomorrow. O’Toole activated a clause in his Rovers contract which meant he could leave Rovers after their relegation to the conference. He was Rovers top goal scorer last season with 15 goals, but failed to provide one assist for his team mates.

The 25 year old was signed by former John Ward after a successful loan spell from Colchester, but came under criticism from fans for his performances and made it clear he wanted to play a higher level than League Two!
