Eliot Richards has today signed for recently relegated Tranmere Rovers.
Richards who was released at the end of the season was thought to be signing for Exeter City where he spent the end of the season on loan, but former Exeter City Assistant Edwards has brought Richards to Tranmere.
The 22 year old Welshman scored five goals in 17 appearances for Exeter and helped Exeter keep their League status. Its believed Exeter did want to sign Richards but were unable to afford the wages of the striker.
Richards made over 100 appearances for Rovers and scored 21 times, he has signed a two year deal with Tranmere Rovers.
