Rovers Manager Darrell Clarke brought in Fabian Broghammer for his first start of the season as he named an attacking line up for the crucial match.

In what was a scrappy game Rovers broke the dead lock on 11 minutes when Lee Brown curled home a fine free kick to put Rovers 1-0 up and send the 2,000 travelling fans wild. Rovers fans joy was short lived though as Matt McClure cleverly flicked the ball home leaving Steve Mildenhall stranded.

Both teams looked nervous at times but it Was Clarke who made the brave decision to switch to a more attacking formation with the introduction of striker Steven Gillespie. On 76 minutes Rovers took the lead again when David Clarkson volleyed home from 6 yards out once again sending the travelling fans wild.

Rovers had 15 minutes to hold out for the win and did so pretty comfortably. The win leaves Rovers needing just one point from their home fixture against Mansfield on Saturday.
