Bristol Rovers kept up their chase for a play off place, in a thrilling 3-3 draw at home to Leyton Orient. Rovers started off lively and dominated the first 45 minutes with their slick attacking style of football. On 14 minutes Rovers took the lead through Junior Agogo, a defence splitting pass from Rovers new boy Sammy Igoe, put junior through and all though the strikers first shot was well saved the rebound fell kindly to the Rovers front man to slot home his first goal of 2006.

Rovers kept up the pressure and went close twice through Sammy Igoe and the lively Agogo. As the first half was coming to an end, Stuart Campbell made a strong run into the box only to be brought down by Orients Miller. Agogo?s tame spot kick was easily saved.

The visitor?s brought on a couple of fresh legs at half time and immediately made a impact, Ibehre scored from 12 yards out with his first touch to make it 1-1. Just 9 minutes later Ibehre put Orient ahead. The Rovers defence were caught napping and Ibehre lobbed the ball neatly over the advancing Shearer.

Rovers hit back straight away with Craig Disley slotting home a fumble from Garner the Orient keeper. Michael Simpson put Orient in front again diverting a well delivered cross pass the helpless Shearer. Rovers kept going though and were rewarded in the 74th minute. Christian Edwards was fouled in the box and the ref pointed to the spot. This time it was Walker?s turn to take the spot kick. Walker stepped up and hammered the ball straight down the middle to make it 3-3.

Rovers pushed forward trying to take all 3 points, Campbell drove an effort straight at the keeper and Disley flashed a header just wide. The ref blew the whistle on an entertaining game. Rovers will feel a little unlucky not to have won the division 2 clash, but one thing?s for sure the near 6,000 crowd were certainly entertained.
