Bristol Rovers have made a new bid for Oxford United striker James Constable.

After having their first bid for the 27 year old rejected, Rovers have returned with a fresh bid believed to be over £150,000 for the striker. Northampton are also keen on signing Oxford’s top goal scorer from last season.

Constable still have two years remaining on his contract with Oxford United and rejected a move to Swindon Town in January after the two clubs has agreed a fee for the 6′ 1′ striker.Its understood that Oxford are keen to sell Constable at the right price and will respond to Rovers latest bid after the weekend.
