Rovers Lose In Spain

Bristol Rovers were defeat 3-0 whilst playing FC Sabadell in Spain for a preseason friendly.

Rovers were backed by a large following of Gasheads for the first match between the two sides. Darrell Clarke named a starting eleven which was mixed with first team players and youngsters.

Apart from a Rory Gafney disallowed goal Rovers had little to show for the efforts against a well organised Sabadell side.

Rovers conceded two goals from set pieces which will be a concern for Darrell Clarke although not many of the players who started the game will be in the starting line up when Rovers take on Scunthorpe in their first game back in League One.

Next up for Rovers is a fixture against Cheltenham Town.
