Bristol Rovers have today released nine players.

The most notable is defender Byron Anthony, the centre back has been with Rovers since the summer of 2006. The 27 year old has made over 160 appearances for Rovers. Striker Scott McGleish has also been released, the 38 year old spent the end of the season on loan with Barnet.

Charlie Reece, Charlie Clough, Lance Cronin and Michael Boateng have all also been let go by Rovers, as well as Lamar Powell, Darren Jefferies, and James Dale as reported earlier. Striker Kayne McLaggon who suffered a injury will train with Rovers in pre-season and may be offered a new deal.
