Bristol Rovers put in an impressive performance to secure a 2-1 victory over Premiership side West Bromwich Albion at The Memorial Stadium.

The game was for Peter Aitken`s Testimonial which saw a decent ground of around 3,500 turned out. It was a first chance for many Gasheads to see Rovers new signings, Sam Slocombe started in goal and Tom Broadbent and Liam Secombe were also amongst the starting eleven.

Rovers took the lead in the first half through striker Ellis Harrison after just Lee Browns pin point cross. The second half saw Adam Smith take his place in goal and Tom Nichols came on up top. Left back Marc Bola replaced Lee Brown and there was also another run out for defender Rollin Menayese.

Rovers second goal came through new signing Tom Nichols who was put through by Rory Gaffney and slotted home calmly. West Brom did pull a goal back through Dawson, but the came ended 2-1.
