Bristol Rovers Manager John Ward made three changes to the side in hope to end Rovers poor run of form.

Danny Woodards, Matt Harrold and David Clarkson all came in to the starting line up. Rovers once again struggled to create any real openings and went behind on 21 minutes when Antoni Sarcevic pounced on a Tom Parkes mistake to drive home the opener. On 39 minutes it was 2-0 to Fleetwood, Mark Roberts was allowed space and fired home. Rovers only real chance of the first half fell to Ollie Clarke who hit the post with a side footed effort from a Michael Smith cross in the final minute of the opening period.

It took Fleetwood only six minutes in the second half to wrap the game up when David Ball nodded a third from a Charlie Taylor cross. Parkes stopped it being 4-0 when he cleared a shot off the line. Rovers did pull a goal back with eleven minutes to go go through sub Ellis Harrison who headed home.

Rovers are now 20th in League Two just three points above the relegation zone, although Rovers do have a game in hand. Next up for Rovers is a clash at home to Morecambe on Saturday.
