Bristol Rovers started life in The Conference with a 0-0 draw with Grimsby Town.

A big crowd turned out to show their support, but in 90 minutes no team could break the deadlock. Rovers had more chances over the 90 minutes the best falling to striker Matty Taylor who was put through one on one but the Grimsby keeper saved well.

Stuart Sinclair also had a chance but fired just over from the edge of the box. At the other end Rovers cleared a shot off the line and Steve Mildenhall reacted well to palm the ball over.

A good battling display by Rovers who worked hard through the 90 minutes but just lacked that bit of creativity. Next up for Rovers is a trip awat to Barnet of Tuesday night.
