Darrell Clarke made four changes to the side that beat Morecambe 2-1 at home last weekend, one of them was forced as Stuart Sinclair was injured,

In came Mark McChrystal, Lee Mansell, Ollie Clarke and Jermaine Easter who replaced Tom Parkes, Chris Lines, Stuart Sinclair and Matty Taylor. The first half was a scrappy affair with either side struggling to gain control. Lee Brown fired wide on 20 minutes and at the other end Rovers Keeper Steve Mildenhall had to be alert to save former Rovers defender free kick.

In the second half Rovers looked sharper but were still struggling to create any real chances with the long ball tactics that they seemed to have taken up. Easter headed wide for Rovers and Ollie Clarke forced a save out of Wycombe keeper Allsop. It looked as if Rovers were going to pick u a point, but on 85 minutes O’Nien gave Wycombe a valuable win when he latched on to Jacobson’s free-kick to head past Mildenhall.

Rovers dropped to 10th in League Two and next face Hartlepool on Tuesday night at The Memorial Stadium.
