Bristol Rovers are hoping to bring back Stoke City defender Ryan Sweeney on loan.
Sweeney spent the end of last season on loan with Rovers and became an instant fans favourite in his 16 appearances. Vital understand that Rovers have made a over to loan Sweeney for the season, but Rovers is not Sweeneys only option. Its understood that Sweeney has others from four other clubs with at least one of them being from a Championship club.
Rovers have until the end of August to complete any signing with manager Darrell Clarke stating he wants four more new faces with one being a centre back.
