Steve Mildenhall returned in goal for Rovers after serving his one match ban, meaning Will Puddy dropped to the bench.

Rovers started quick as they seem to do most games these days, Matty Taylor saw his shot tipped over by Dartford keeper Jason Brown and Neal Trotman fired over. Rovers did take the lead from the spot, Adam Cunnington was fouled in the area and Matty Taylor stepped up and fired home to make it 1-0 to Rovers.

Dartford came out in the second half looking for an equalizer and nearly did when Luke Daley’s bullet header struck the bar. Rovers managed to hold out and get the three points. It was far from pretty but a wins a win.

There was an incident unfortunately in the second half when Dartfords keeper Jason Brown was the target of some racial abuse by somebody in the Rovers end, Rovers are investigating this and hopefully will catch the guilty party.
