Bristol Rovers dream of having a new all seater stadium today moved a step closer.

Rovers chairman Nick Higgs signed the section 106 agreement, meaning Gasheads have to wait just three more months for the Judicial Review period and all being well the build of the new UWE Stadium will begin.

The new stadium will be a 21,700 all seater Stadium with the option to extend to 25,000. The architects have used the contours of the land so the stadium sits in a bowl and therefore can hardly be seen on the skyline from the nearest homes. Polycarbonate sheeting will be used behind the goals and on the roof which will shine blue at night and when the sun is shining.

UWE Stadium and will include a banqueting and hospitality suite, convenience store, gym, jogging track and teaching space for the University.
