Taylor Gone To Championship Strugglers

Striker Matty Taylor has left Bristol Rovers and joined the Bristol City.

Taylor has signed a two and a half year deal with the club after making it clear to Rovers that he wanted out. In moving across town he becomes the first player to move directly from Rovers to their arch rivals since another striker, Trevor Morgan, on 23rd January 1987.

Since joining from Forest Green Rovers in the summer of 2014 he has scored 67 goals in 134 games. City activated a release clause in Taylors contract allowing him to leave. Its believed Cardiff matched Citys offer for the striker.
