Darrell Clarke marked his 100th game in charge with a 1-0 home win over Mansfield Town making it four wins in a row.

Rovers were again missing Stuart Sinclair, Rory Gafney and Liam Lawrence but Billy Bodin returned as Darrell Clarke changed to a 4-4-2 formation. Although Rovers dominated the opening stages of the game, they failed to create any real clear cut chances. On the stroke of half time Billy Bodin missed a real chance to put Rovers in front after a poor punch out from Scott Shearer in the Mansfield goal the ball fail to Lee Mansell who then passed to Bodin who fired wide.

In the second half the lively Montano shot straight at Shearer then Lee Mansell saw a ferocious volley fly just wide. Rovers finally broke the dead lock when Cristian Montano squared the ball to Matty Taylor who fired home his 20th goal of the season.

Rovers had to soak up a bit of Mansfield pressure towards the end of the game, with Steve Mildenhall pulling off a fine save in the dying minutes to secure all three points for Rovers.

Rovers are up to 4th in League Two, just three points behind Plymouth and Oxford who sit in second and third. Next up for Rovers is an away clash against Newport County on Saturday.
