Darrell Clarkes men made it three wins in a row against promotion rivals AFC Wimbledon at The Memorial Stadium.

Clarke was with out the injured Stuart Sinclair, Rory Gaffney and Liam Lawrence, Whilst Billy Bodin was also missing through injury. New loan signing Oliver McBurnie from Swansea City started on the bench.

Rovers started brightly with Easter having a chance after just two minutes, but the striker fired straight into the keepers arms, but 25 minutes later Easter did put Rovers i front when he headed home Lee Browns cross. Ollie Clarke made it 2-0 when he fired home from distance on 38 minutes.

The second half saw Wimbledon pile on a bit of pressure and pull a goal back through Jon Meades. Mildenhall had to be alert in the Rovers goal to pull of a string of good saves to keep Rovers in front, but on 78 minutes striker Matty Taylor scored his 19th of the season after a fine pass from Chris Lines.

In the closing stages Wimbledon striker Adebayo Akinfenwa was sent off for saying a little to much to the referee. Rovers are fifth after the latest win and next face Mansfield at The Memorial Stadium on Saturday.
