What Went Wrong?

I sit here writing this with a tear in my eye knowing that the club my dad brought me up to support and love has dropped out of the Football League, if he was alive today I know I would be shedding a tear with him.

I really felt for Clarke yesterday, he was given less than a quarter of the season to save our season, he looked truly upset in his interview and watching it made me feel very sorry for him. I followed it up by watching the Higgs interview which left me feeling angry.

The club has been poorly ran for years now and yesterday it finally caught up with us and we were relegated. During the 90 minutes of football very few of the players looked like they cared, Steve Yates showed more passion in his 30 second bust up with one of Mansfield’s players than most did all season. We want players with passion who care for the club, not over paid pre-madonna’s on long term contracts. Three year contracts have to be a thing of the past.

Bottom line is we were not good enough, but the questions everyone wants to know is why?

A club our size going into non league is a massive shock to everyone not just Rovers fans, you can see the reaction all over the media. It doesn’t feel like ‘our club’ any more and it hasn’t for a long time, I’m just truly gutted.

We need answers and people have to held accountable for how poorly the club is ran from top to bottom, PR is shocking and somewhat embarrassing at times. We were told on a numbers of occasions “We are in this together” well it didnt feel that way. Things have to and must change for this club to bounce back. Will it change? no it wont and that’s the saddest thing of all .

Good read Lenny, things do need to change. I have zero confidence in this board getting us out of this mess.
