Wingers Hope For New Contracts


Jake Gosling and Angelo Balanta are two of eight Rovers players who are ot of contract in the summer and the pair are hoping to secure new deals with the club.

Will Puddy, Stuart Sinclair, Daniel Leadbitter, Andy Monkhouse, Neal Trotman, Abdulai Baggie are all also out of contract and are awaiting the outcome on their futures. Its believed Matty Taylor, Lee Brown, Steve Mildenhall and Mark McChrystall has all agreed new deals with the club.

“I would have liked to have played more but that is football at the end of the day,” Balanta said to TIB “If I am still here next season I will be able to show a lot more of myself because there is definitely a lot more to come.

‘It is an exciting time to be at the club because we have a great fanbase and with one or two additions I think we can be up there or thereabouts in League Two.”


Gosling added: “It has been in and out for me. I`d have been happy enough if someone told me at the start of the season that I would finish the campaign at Wembley after playing in over 30 games.

“I`m hoping to push on now over the summer because to play more games next season has to be my first aim.’


Both Gosling and Balanta featured regularly during the season run in with Balanta scoring one of the five important penalties at Wembley.
