Bristol Rovers have today been hit wit the news the utility man Danny Woodards could face up to nine months out.

Woodards was stretchered off early in the first half of Rovers defeat at Bradford and after scans it looks as if Woodards has a anterior cruciate ligament injury. The 29 year old has already suffered a bad injury and spent a long time out, at the end of last season Woodards broke his leg in the final game of the season and has not been back play regular football for that long.

Danny joins the long list of players who are out long term, Matt Harrold, Seanan Clucas, Adam Virgo, Matt Gill, Garry Kenneth, Scott Bevan and Dave Clarkson have all suffered from long term injuries. Woodards will be out of contract in the summer, he has been with Rovers for just under two years.
