Wembley are not making many friends from anyone who is going to Wembley this weekend.

The play off finals for all three league’s are being staged at Wembley over this bank holiday weekend and there could be over 10,000 empty seats during each of the three finals.

Wembley are refusing to sell any of the Club Wembley seats which are not being used. The Football League’s chief operating officer, Andy Williamson, said: ‘We are hugely disappointed Wembley has been unable to find a solution.

‘We’ll continue to press Wembley to put plans in place to address this issue for future Football League events.’

Membership of ‘Club Wembley’ includes tickets to a number of guaranteed events, including the FA Cup final, Carling Cup final and England matches.

It also gives members first option on tickets on a series of other events, including the play-off finals.

But hardly any of these seats have been snapped up, so it means they will remain empty. It also mens that some Gasheads might end up missing out. Rovers sold there first batch of 35,000 tickets in under 72 hours, a new batch of 5,000 will now go on sale tomorrow at The Memorial Stadium meaning 40,000 Gasheads at Wembley. Many fans think Rovers could have sold many more.

In the Champoinship Derby and West Brom were only given 33,500 each and have also sold out.

There seems no good reason why the seats shouldn’t be sold, if the demand is there,

Once again in shows how ridicolous it is after the Fa cup final and Champions league final its about time the Prawn sandwich brigade p****d off and let the real fans get the tickets.

It is stupid, there were so many empty seats, surely it is not cost effective to keep so many empty. This club Wembley, does anyone know how much these tickets cost?? for 10 years its got to be alot surely to make it worth their while.
