Bristol Rovers Welsh centre back limped off after 16 minutes of last nights 1-0 defeat by Bournemouth in the JPT Trophy.
After having scans it has been revealed Anthony has broken his fifth metatarsal.
Trollope told the Evening Post ‘Doctors have said he will be out for between eight to 12 weeks – and it may be on the longer side of that period, which is not good news.
‘It’s a blow for us because Byron has done well and has been in good form.’
The only real defence cover Rovers have is Craig Hinton and in my opinion he is not capable of playing at this level.
