Vital Gas understand that Bristol City are set sign up to a Partnership with Abbeywood Community School which will run for between three to five years.

The deal will see City’s academy play all their matches at at the school. Bristol City will also invest £100,000 in upgrading the current pitches to Premiership quality. Also as part of the deal Bristol City will send players on regular visits to the school which in near the proposed new UWE Stadium.

Work experience will also be offered at Bristol City to children attending the the school and match day tickets will be given out as rewards. Rovers centre of excellence is based at the Filton WISE complex next door, although half of their matches are played at Sir Bernard Lovell School and its expected that all Rovers matches will move to SBL by next season.
