Bristol Rovers Captain Stuart Campbell has today signed a new two year deal.

The midfielders current contract was set to expire at the end of the season, but the 29 year old Scot has now agreed to stay for another two years.

I’m delighted to agree a new two-year deal with the club,’ Campbell told the club’s official website. ‘There’s been a degree of speculation over one or two players but I think I’ve made my position quite clear all along, and that is that I want to stay at Bristol Rovers.

‘I’ve committed myself to two more years because I really believe this club is going places and I want to be a part of that.

‘This new deal will take me through to the end of the club’s exile from Bristol, which gives me a tremendous incentive to earn a new deal for our return to our new stadium.’

Campbells form has been nothing short of excellence since he was made captain earlier in the season.
