Left back Chris Carruthers may be on his way out of Rovers.

League Two outfit Wycombe Wanderers are thought to be keen on bringing the defender to Adams Park. Carruthers has been offered a new contract with Rovers but if Joe Jacobson arrives from Cardiff as expected it could well mean Carruthers losing his first team place.

Carruthers has made 78 league appearances for Rovers and he was a regular in the side last season, playing in every game from the end of October onwards.

To be honest, i’m not too bothered about him leaving, he always seems to be the weak link in the team, and although he has had a few good games and made some important passes, i still think he is a league two player. He wont be good enough next season, and a replacement is needed.
