Our new striker Darryl Duffy has opened up about his reasons behind signing for the gas. Duffy explained how ex clubmate Danny Coles helped him decide that the move was a good choice.
Duffy speaking to this is Bristol said
‘I was good mates with Danny when we were at Hull and I’ve been speaking to him two or three times a week for most of the summer,’
‘We talk quite a lot anyway, but it’s been even more regular because there was the possibility of me coming here.
‘Before I’d even talked about signing, he was offering to show me around the city and possible places to live!
‘He’s a character anyway, and I couldn’t really have asked for anything better than to come to a club where someone like him helps you settle in. It’s been a massive help.’
Duffy fell out of favour at Swansea and this is what sparked the move. We have signed Duffy on a 3yr deal worth £100,000 as vital gas had reported to you sometime ago.
Lennie Lawrence also spoke out with the following comments
‘The quality of the two players meant they weren’t going to come cheap, but the board have been very supportive,’ said Lawrence.
‘Both of them tick all our boxes in terms of age, potential, quality, attitude and a desire to be here.
‘I think they have Championship potential and this club has Championship potential. Hopefully we can all realise it together.

Good ole Coles, lets hope this is a clear sign that he is going NOWHERE and Plymouth will in fact not get him.
Coles is not going anywhere dont worry about it. Lennie and Trolls dont want to sell him anyway.
just to let all you gasheads know i am a Swansea fan and have to say you have a good buy in Duffy he will score you a load of goals good luck to him
Everyone has their price Pirate and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if the board wanted to sell if the price was desirable. I’d like to think he will stay with us though, especially with his buddy now here too
Daryl Duffy should do very well for you at Bristol.
