Bristol Rovers club President and former Chairman Denis Dunford has sadly passed away.
Denis Dunford is known by many as ‘The Man Who Saved Rovers’ after overseeing the move from Eastville Stadium to Twerton Park, a move which ultimately saved the club from going out of business. He was Chairman of the club from 1986 to 2004 before handing over to his son Geoff.
A true gentleman and a Rovers legend that will be missed. There will be a minutes silence before Rovers F.A Cup clash with Aston Villa. Denis may no longer be with us but he will never be forgotten especially for everything he did for Bristol Rovers.
