Downes To Play Again This Season

On loan central defender Aaron Downes will play again this season.

Downes picked up an injury to his knee in Rovers win against Bradford City and it was first thought that Aaron would be out all season, but Mark McGhee has today revealed that the injury was not as bad as first thought and Downes could be back in around five to six weeks.

Downes is on loan for the rest of the season with Rovers and his current contract with Chesterfield runs out in the summer. Matt Harrold, Muzzy Carayol, Joe Anyinsah and Danny Woodards could all feature in this weekends game against Morecambe after recovering from injury.
