Bristol Rovers Central defender Steve will be out of action for around six weeks.
The big centre back picked up the injury during Rovers F.A cup victory over Fulham. Elliott picked up medial ligament damage and it is vey unlikely we will see Elliott in a Rovers shirt before March.
Better news though is Byron Anthony is close to being match fit. ‘Byron is very close now,’ Paul told bristolrovers.co.uk, ‘He’s been training for three weeks, and it’s been frustrating for him with the lack of reserve games.
‘It’s important he gets some matches under his belt, but he’s a naturally fit lad which will help him. He was out for a long while last season and he coped very well when coming back, and he’ll be in the squad this weekend and may even figure on the bench.’
