Four Bristol Rovers players have been given new deals ahead of the 2008/2009 season.

Midfielder Chris Lines has signed a new two year deal, Lines has played a major part in Rovers season. Defender Craig Hinton and striker Sean Rigg has agreed extensions to their current deals.

Young striker Josh Klein-Davies has also agreed a deal to keep him at Rovers next season. The former Bristol City striker made his first senior start on Saturday in Rovers 3-2 home defeat to Huddersfield town and scored the opening goal.

‘Chris Lines has progressed very well over the current season, so we’ve tied him down for another couple of years,’ Paul told bristolrovers.co.uk, ‘Both Sean Rigg and Craig Hinton have agreed new deals so we’re pleased about that, and we’re looking to agree something very shortly with Josh Klein-Davies as well.

‘We’re shaping it for next season and for the rest of this season, and that still includes bringing in a new striker if we can. It’s been well documented that we need one, and although we’ve missed out on a few, we’re still looking to bring one in before the end of the season.’

Glad to see they are being rewarded with new deals. A good mix of youth and experience is the way forward for the Gas!
