Matt Harrold earned Rovers a point after coming off the bench to score against his former club.

Manager Paul Buckle brought back in Byron Anthony and Craig Stanley in place of Cian Bolger and Matt Harrold. After a stalemate first half, it was Southend who took the lead in the second half. Liam Dickinson crossed for fomer Millwall striker Neil Harris to slot home from six yards out.

Paul Buckle introduced Matt Harrold and just 5 minutes later Harrold headed home to put Rovers level. Ryan Hall hit the post for Southend in the closing minutes, but Rovers held on for a good point away from home. Next up for Rovers is an F.A Cup tie against Totton on Sunday.
