Craig Hinton finally made his come back from injury in the 5-2 win over Bath City.
Hinton has been out since mid April last season and admited on his comeback he was a little sore.
‘It was good to get through the game and although I feel a little bit sore but, to be honest, I didn’t think I’d be playing this soon,’ Craig told bristolrovers.co.uk.
‘Hopefully now I can just keep going and play a few minutes and bits of games here and there to build up my fitness.
‘The groin injury I picked up at Barnet was quite serious and although an operation wasn’t necessary I tore the muscle quite badly and it’s been a case of letting it heal itself, so I’m just glad to be getting back in the swing of things.
Hinton played 45 minutes against Bath and is looking to play more in the tour of Scotland. There first game is against Dunfermline on Tuesday.
